Does the eSIM work in Manuel Antonio and Arenal?
Yes. Both Manuel Antonio and Arenal are covered with 4G service. Some hikes inside national parks may have limited signal.
Can I use data in the Osa Peninsula and remote areas?
Coverage is good in Palmar Sur and Puerto Jiménez, but very remote parts of the Osa Peninsula may have limited signal.
Is there coverage on the Caribbean coast (Puerto Viejo)?
Yes. Puerto Viejo, Limón, and the Caribbean coast have 4G coverage on our network.
Do I need to turn off my eSIM when I re-enter the USA?
No. When you leave Costa Rica, your device automatically connects to your regular SIM. The Costa Rica eSIM stays inactive until you return.
Can I use navigation apps while driving?
Yes. Google Maps and Waze work perfectly with our data plan. We recommend downloading offline maps before you go just in case.
